Purpose of the lesson: The purpose of this lesson is to help students count a given set of objects accurately. Students will be responsible to count a given set of objects, classify them, answer how many items were in the jar, and explain how they counted.

Represent a number of objects with a written numeral 0-20 (with 0 representing a count of no objects). 3. Count to answer “How many?” questions of objects from 1-20.
